About The Vina
Originally built in 1917, The Vina is a small collection of classic Craftsman residences in the heart of downtown Santa Barbara.
Thoughtfully reimagined in 2025, each home blends original character with beautifully updated interiors, considered furnishings, and the comforts of modern living.
Named after the historic De La Vina Street, The Vina reflects what we love about Santa Barbara—beautiful architecture, walkable neighborhoods, coastal living, and a true sense of place.
From the beginning, The Vina was about creating a more personal way to stay in Santa Barbara—individual residences designed for settling in, exploring the neighborhood, and experiencing the city like a local.
Come stay awhile.
A Sense of Santa Barbara
Known as the American Riviera, Santa Barbara is a city where history, architecture, and coastal beauty come together. The area was originally home to the Chumash people before the Spanish established the Santa Barbara Presidio in 1782 and Mission Santa Barbara in 1786, now known as the "Queen of the Missions."
Following the 1925 earthquake, much of the city was rebuilt in the beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival style that defines Santa Barbara today. Be sure to visit the iconic Santa Barbara County Courthouse, stroll through the historic El Presidio and explore nearby State Street, where the city's rich history and vibrant culture continue to thrive.
